How did your company get started?
Dan started selling summer sausage out of the back of his Dodge Dart to local businesses and individuals over 34 years ago! We still sell to some of those clients today!
Are you family owned?
Yes, we are family owned & operated. Our team is small but mighty!
Do you take any wholesale orders?

Do you offer custom printing?
Yes, we do. We can print our logo on any of our boxes.

Do you have physical store locations?
We do not have physical stores at this time. Back in the day, we had one small shop in Burien. It has been gone for a few years now.
Shipping & Returns
When will my order ship?
All orders placed by 1:00pm PST (Monday – Friday) will ship same day. Orders placed Saturday and Sunday will ship the following Monday. In summer months we may upgrade to minimize heat exposure.
When will my order arrive?
Consider the shipping rate you selected, and keep in mind that Fed Ex and UPS do not consider Saturday and Sunday as transit days.
A business/transit day does not include the day the order was placed.
For example, an order placed 5pm Monday with 2-day air express will ship on Tuesday, for scheduled delivery Thursday.
Can you guarantee arrival date?
At this time, most carriers are not guaranteeing delivery dates, though we have not found this to be an issue.
Do you ship internationally?
We do not at this time.
Can I send to a PO Box?
We do not recommend sending to a PO box as it is slightly less reliable and can be very expensive. If you would like to send to a PO Box, please reach out to our team at info@danthesausageman.com
Can I send to a Military Box?
We do not recommend sending to a Military box as it is slightly less reliable and can be very expensive. If you would like to send to a Military Box, please reach out to our team at info@danthesausageman.com
Can I send to Hawaii or Alaska?
Yes, but Hawaii and Alaska must be sent 2-Day Air Express.

Is your Summer Sausage Shelf Stable?
Yes, up until the time it is unpackaged, the summer sausage does not need to be refrigerated. After opening, please refrigerate. It does not need to be cooked.
Do I need to cook the summer sausage?
Nope, it is ready to eat upon opening!
Is your summer sausage gluten free?
Yes, the summer sausage is gluten free.
Does your summer sausage contain any pork?
No, our summer sausage is 100% beef.
Is your Dan's Sweet N Hot Mustard gluten free?
No, the mustard is not gluten free.

Can I customize my boxes?
Absolutely! We can work with you and create a delicious box that meets your needs and budget.
Do you ship to multiple addresses?
Yes! Our downloadable multi-gift order form makes it easy to send gifts to your recipients wherever they are.

What is the turnaround time?
Turnaround time varies depending on your needs, but here are some scenarios:
Smaller orders of our ready-built gift options (available to view on our website), ship the next business day.
For ready-built gift orders over 50 boxes, a week of lead time is appreciated.
Custom printed gifts using your logo or artwork may take 2-3 weeks after the art is recieved.

Can I provide my own gift notes to be included?
Of course! You are welcome to print your own gift notes on your preferred stationary and have them mailed to us at
