In 1988, Dan started selling sausage and other snacks out of his ‘74 Dodge Dart. He drove his reliable old car from the main streets of Seattle to the foothills of Mount Rainier, entering businesses to present his Original Summer Sausages as well as other local treats. He admits it was not easy, but he welcomed the challenge. After a few months he perfected his introduction; he would enter an office and say, “I am Dan the Sausageman!” People would laugh, Dan would sell, and Dan the Sausageman was born!

Do you deliver gifts to Tacoma?

Yes. Washington addresses get our Express shipping rate: $9.95, or free on orders of $75 or more.

Do you ship to military addresses?

Yes. We ship to home addresses near base, and to APO/FPO/DPO addresses. Military mail orders placed by 12 PM Pacific ship the same day; express services aren't available to APO/FPO/DPO addresses.

Will the sausage be okay if it sits on the porch?

Our summer sausage is shelf stable until opened. In warm months we may upgrade shipping to limit heat exposure.

Can I send one order to several Tacoma addresses?

Yes. You can ship to every address on your list in one checkout.
