When was the last time you sat down and enjoyed some Hot Buttered Rum? It's the perfect nightcap after a long day at work or running errands. The gift-shopping, tree-trimming, and Christmas-caroling can wait until tomorrow.
What you'll need:
1 stick unsalted butter
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground cloves
Pinch of salt
2 ounces aged rum
5 ounces hot water
Cinnamon stick for garnish
What to do:
Combine butter, vanilla, sugar, spices, and salt. Mix together well.
In mug, combine rum with one ounce of butter mixture. Top with hot water and cinnamon stick, and enjoy!
